According to the Eliud’s approach to discipline, each student should learn self-control and behave responsibly in order to contribute to the general wellbeing of everyone at the school. Every child has the right to demand a supportive environment for learning and teaching. The obligation for each student to improve that environment is the same.
1.1 School attendance is required. A medical certificate is required to validate any absence from school. On a case-by-case basis and for compassionate reasons, absences from school may be permitted. The Form Teacher must receive any medical documentation or letters of excuse as soon as the student returns to class. Truancy will be considered when there is an unjustified absence.
1.2 To take their child out of school or skip class for urgent personal matters, parents must request a leave of absence from the vice principal. In exceptional circumstances, permission may be granted to leave class early. The student must inform the Form Teacher and obtain permission from the Principal or Vice-Principal before proceeding. The child's parent or legal guardian will be notified, and his or her name will be written in the General Office's Early Dismissal book. Only during school-advertised or recognized holidays are students permitted to travel abroad.
1.3 Students are expected to arrive on time for class, and all school events. After morning assembly, students who arrive late to class must go through late-coming procedures, which include receiving a report slip, before being allowed back into the classroom.
2.1 By 7.30 a.m., students must be at school. Then, attendance will be tracked by all Form Teachers.
2.2 For the ceremony of raising the flag, all students are required to stand at attention. Both the National Anthem and the Pledge must be sung by all students. The right fist will be placed over the heart as the students take the Pledge.
2.3 All students are required to proudly and respectfully sing the school song.
3.1 All students are expected to be compassionate, persistent, and forward-thinking individuals.
3.2 All students are expected to use platforms designed for their development to their advantage.
4.1 After use, keep the areas in the school cleaner and in better condition.
4.2 Take good care of the facilities and property at the school. The student(s) who caused the damage will be responsible for covering the cost of replacing the damaged items.
4.3 Ensure that the school's grounds are always kept in the highest possible condition. Upkeep of the immediate area is part of maintaining cleanliness.
4.4 Only during recess or after school is it permitted to turn on mobile phones in the canteen.
5.1 To achieve the best results, collaborate with your teachers and all of your classmates.
5.2 Attendance at class is required of all students. Prior to each lesson, attendance will be taken.
5.3 Without the teachers' permission, students are not allowed to leave the classroom.
6.1 Always keep the classroom tidy and spotless.
6.2 Food and sweet beverages are strictly prohibited in the classroom.
6.3 Be considerate of others and keep the noise down.
6.4 All electronic devices must be used only when necessary for the lesson, such as electronic dictionaries and calculators for math.
Whenever you are unable to visit the school, we would love to show you around our campus.
